As part of its leadership transition, CEO Dev Ittycheria announced his retirement, with Chirantan "CJ" Desai set to succeed him by November 2025. Desai brings extensive experience from roles at ServiceNow and Cloudflare, and he is expected to guide MongoDB through its next growth phase, dubbed MongoDB 3.0.
