Kathreftis Launches World-Class Identity Access Management with Cymmetri
Blog post from MongoDB
Kathreftis, an Indian startup founded in 2022, developed Cymmetri, a comprehensive identity access management platform, to address the growing threat of cyberattacks exploiting identity-based vulnerabilities, which account for over 60% of cyber threats. The platform is designed to tackle challenges such as centralized identity management, 360-degree visibility of access permissions, scalability, and high availability. To support these features, Kathreftis opted for MongoDB, a document database that offers flexibility, ease of use, and compliance with both Indian and international data privacy laws. MongoDB's versatility facilitated Kathreftis' expansion into global markets and was further supported by the MongoDB for Startups program, which provided resources like free MongoDB Atlas credits and technical guidance. As Cymmetri becomes widely used by large enterprises across India and the Middle East, Kathreftis emphasizes simplifying identity access management to make it more accessible and cost-effective for businesses of all sizes. Meanwhile, MongoDB's leadership announced a transition with CJ Desai set to become the new CEO, succeeding Dev Ittycheria, who will stay on the board to ensure a smooth transition. This change aims to position MongoDB for its next phase of growth, leveraging its strengths in handling modern applications and data-intensive systems, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences.
