In a significant leadership transition, MongoDB's CEO, Dev Ittycheria, announced his retirement effective November 2025, with Chirantan “CJ” Desai set to succeed him. CJ's extensive experience in scaling companies and his leadership roles at ServiceNow and Cloudflare position him as a suitable candidate to guide MongoDB through its next phase of growth, dubbed MongoDB 3.0.
