Config aims to foster an inclusive work environment by raising awareness of neurodiversity, which includes conditions like autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and by implementing practices such as alternative interview formats, mentoring programs, and sensory-friendly workspaces. This initiative aligns with MongoDB's broader diversity and inclusion goals, embracing neurodiverse talents for their unique problem-solving skills and innovative thinking. The ERG encourages clear communication, flexibility, and peer support networks, enabling neurodivergent employees to thrive. Additionally, MongoDB is experiencing leadership changes, with Dev Ittycheria announcing his retirement as CEO by November 2025, to be succeeded by Chirantan “CJ” Desai, who brings extensive experience in scaling technology companies. Under Desai's leadership, MongoDB plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities in AI and data-intensive applications, positioning itself for continued growth and innovation.
