VendorPM is a marketplace platform designed to streamline the connection between property managers and service providers, such as window cleaners and electricians, by offering a centralized location for managing, sourcing, and procuring vendors. To enhance customer experience and retention, VendorPM identified that responsiveness, influenced by notifications, is crucial for satisfaction. Initially, their internal notification system faced challenges with excessive emails and limited notification coverage. To address these issues, VendorPM evaluated rebuilding their system but ultimately adopted Knock, a tool that supports batching, in-app feeds, and multiple notification channels like push and SMS. This transition allowed VendorPM to save significant development time, streamline their notification workflows, and provide better visibility and flexibility for their product team. As a result, VendorPM improved their notification strategy, enabling faster and more efficient updates and adjustments, ultimately aiming to boost vendor responsiveness and marketplace value.
