How I Built an Employee Advocacy Scoreboard with Directus, Zapier, and Claude Code
Blog post from Directus
Employee advocacy programs are gaining traction as they enhance a company's AI discoverability, particularly on platforms like LinkedIn, which is a highly cited source in language model responses. To streamline the process of tracking social media posts by employees, a visual and automated scoreboard was developed using a tech stack that includes Slack, Zapier, Directus, Next.js, Vercel, and Claude Code. The process begins with employees sharing links in a dedicated Slack channel, which are then processed through Zapier and analyzed using GPT-4o-mini to detect and clean social media links. The extracted data is stored in Directus, and the frontend dashboard aggregates and displays the data, allowing for easy monitoring of social media engagement. This approach highlights the efficiency of using AI for real-time automation and the utility of tools like Directus and Claude Code for building functional internal systems without extensive complexity.
