To analyze Google BigQuery data in CARTO, one must first integrate their instance of CARTO Enterprise on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with their BigQuery project. This is achieved by creating a new CARTO deployment from the GCP Marketplace and configuring the Server Account to connect to the BigQuery instance using a Service Account key that provides access to the project. Once connected, users can extract data from BigQuery using SQL queries and import it into CARTO as a dataset, where they can visualize and analyze the data on maps or integrate it into their Data Science workflows. This integration reduces the complexity of data integration and saves analysts up to 8 hours of work per week.
