Survey: What brands are saying about SMS for Black Friday 2024
Blog post from Bandwidth
In 2024, Black Friday preparations have become more complex due to an election year and condensed sales period post-Thanksgiving. A survey of 100 brand leaders revealed that 80% are incorporating SMS into their campaigns, with nearly half planning to use MMS. Email is the second most popular channel at 62%, followed by TV/streaming ads (45%), direct mail (31%), and radio/podcast ads (30%). Interestingly, 26% of brands plan to use WhatsApp, and 17% are exploring RCS. Nearly 60% of brands are investing more in SMS this year compared to last year. One-third of brands don't start planning until September, while only 42% know for sure that their 10DLC traffic is properly registered.
