Detox meets App Automate: React native application testing made easy

BrowserStack has introduced support for Detox-based testing for React Native applications on its App Automate platform, allowing seamless testing for Android apps on a real device cloud of over 100 unique devices. This addition brings the total number of supported test frameworks to five, including Appium, XCUI Test, Espresso, and Flutter. Detox-based testing offers more flexibility, less flakiness, and better reliability compared to other frameworks. Users can now upload their apps just once while making code changes on their local machine, saving time over other testing frameworks that require re-uploading the app for every code change. To get started with Detox testing on App Automate, users need to upload Android apps to BrowserStack, configure Detox to run on BrowserStack, and execute scripts to run tests on App Automate.
