A recent update introduces two significant features for file uploads in repositories: a flash-less upload option and download statistics. The flash-less upload option uses basic HTML as an alternative method, complementing the existing Flash system, which allows direct uploads to S3 and provides a status bar. This change accommodates users who either block Flash or do not have it installed, with Chrome users benefiting from an upload status feature. Additionally, download statistics have been implemented, starting from the current date, as it was not possible to retroactively calculate past download data.
