# Plushcap Board-prep trend context

Review quarter: Q3 2026, 2026-07-01 through 2026-09-30.
Previous quarter: 2026-04-01 through 2026-06-30.
Latest three completed months: 2026-08-01 through 2026-10-31.

## Usage and constructive Board framing

Lead with supported accomplishments and relevant market alignment. Present uncovered, growing trends as potential next-quarter investments. Prioritize opportunities that fit the company's product and audience. Keep material qualifications concise and attached to the claims they affect.

Supply your company, audience, reviewed quarter, explicit planning-quarter dates, campaigns, results, and product priorities. Ask for slide bullets, speaker notes, and a sourced evidence appendix. If the requested quarter is outside these dates, identify the missing evidence. If your assistant cannot fetch this URL, paste the complete file into the conversation. No MCP setup is required.

## Optional: get more detailed data with Plushcap MCP

This file is a compact public summary. For significantly more detailed, company-specific research, connect Plushcap's read-only MCP server to your AI assistant. It can retrieve company details, searchable blog posts, video publishing activity and YouTube audience metrics, Hacker News submissions, detailed trend histories, and competitive comparisons. X and LinkedIn data are also available where your account has access. Data availability, history, and quotas follow your existing Plushcap access tier and tracked-company coverage; installation does not unlock restricted data or fill gaps in historical coverage.

### ChatGPT: install the Plushcap plugin

1. [Install Plushcap in ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6ac67fc9925481918c4ec65a0f42c134). This direct installation link opens the Plushcap plugin page; select the plus button to install it.
2. Connect your Plushcap account when prompted: sign in and approve the connection so ChatGPT can query the data available to your account.
3. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use Plushcap to enhance your Board narrative. If a connection prompt appears on first use, complete it before requesting company data.

### Antigravity: connect the Plushcap MCP server

1. Add the following configuration to Antigravity's global `~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json`. If you already have an `mcpServers` object, merge the `plushcap` entry into it rather than replacing your other servers.

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "plushcap": {
      "serverUrl": "https://mcp.plushcap.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

2. In the Antigravity app, open Settings > Customizations, refresh the installed MCP servers, and choose Authenticate for Plushcap. Complete the browser sign-in and authorize access to your Plushcap account. If Antigravity requests an authorization-code handoff, complete it in its authentication panel, not in the chat.
3. Ask Antigravity to use Plushcap with the research prompt below. In Antigravity CLI, use `/mcp` to inspect the connection and follow its authentication prompts.

See the [Plushcap Antigravity guide](https://www.plushcap.com/docs/mcp/antigravity-cli.md) and [Google's MCP instructions](https://antigravity.google/docs/mcp).

### Claude: connect on the web or Desktop

1. Open Customize > Connectors in Claude, select Add custom connector, and name it Plushcap. Use this remote MCP server URL: `https://mcp.plushcap.com/mcp`.
2. Follow the connection prompts, using OAuth sign-in and automatic client registration if asked. Sign in to your Plushcap account and authorize access. In a managed workspace, an administrator may need to add or enable the connector first.
3. Open the chat's + menu, choose Connectors, and enable Plushcap. Ask Claude to use it with the research prompt below.

Setup guides: [Claude Web](https://www.plushcap.com/docs/mcp/claude-web.md) and [Claude Desktop](https://www.plushcap.com/docs/mcp/claude-desktop.md). See also [Anthropic's custom-connector instructions](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp).

### Claude Code

Add the remote HTTP server from your terminal:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http plushcap https://mcp.plushcap.com/mcp
```

Then run `/mcp` inside Claude Code and authenticate Plushcap through the browser. Sign in to Plushcap and approve the connection.

See the [Plushcap Claude Code guide](https://www.plushcap.com/docs/mcp/claude-code.md) and [Claude Code's MCP instructions](https://code.claude.com/docs/en/mcp).

### Research prompt for any connected assistant

```text
Use Plushcap to find our company: [company name], [website URL].
Retrieve available company-specific evidence for [review quarter and dates],
including publishing activity, YouTube audience metrics, relevant social
activity, and Hacker News submissions. Add detailed trend history and
competitive context where useful to our product and audience.
Use that evidence to strengthen our Board narrative: supported wins,
alignment with developer and AI trends, and next-quarter opportunities.
Cite source links and dates. Distinguish the periods actually covered from
our requested quarter, and identify missing or inaccessible data.
Do not infer pipeline or revenue impact without our internal outcome data.
```

For additional AI assistants, follow the [Plushcap MCP setup guide](https://www.plushcap.com/docs/mcp.md). ChatGPT's general installation steps are documented in the [official plugin guide](https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/plugins). You can continue using the public context below without installing or connecting anything.

## Scope and calculation method

Public sources: Blog, X (all account types), YouTube. LinkedIn is excluded under existing access rules. Active non-product topics only. Hacker News is available on company pages, not in the trend index. Restricted reports and private company scores are excluded.

Quarterly totals sum monthly normalized mention counts, using the stored normalization caps and quarantine decisions. Growth is calculated from period totals, never from averaged monthly percentages. Each platform is reported separately; high-frequency X activity is not an independent combined-volume signal. Distinct companies are deduplicated across each complete quarter by the batch reader, never summed from monthly company counts. A calculated zero differs from a missing month. Missing or zero baselines do not produce infinite growth. No projections.

Calculation timestamps below describe the source snapshots. A newly rendered file does not imply refreshed or complete source data. Pending refreshes are labeled; uncalculated months remain missing.

Publishing about a growing trend establishes alignment, not campaign success. Absence from a declining topic does not prove deliberate focus. Continued growth is an opportunity hypothesis, not a guaranteed outcome. Revenue and pipeline claims require company-supplied outcome data.

## Blog: established trends and quarterly comparisons

Bounded selection: up to 8 largest complete review-quarter totals, 4 largest absolute quarterly gains, incomplete coverage examples, and sustained risers per source. This is not an exhaustive trend list.
